Created by young entrepreneur & dreamer, Levi Smith, Smithco was started with the ultimate goal of bringing people together & lighting that burning fire inside people that inspires passion. One thing I can promise you is that I will listen, and support you through the entire planning & preparation process.
Hey there, I’m Levi, the face behind Smithco,
Most days you will find me chasing my puppy at the dog park while trying to respond to emails at the same time. I’m mostly known for spilling coffee on my pants right before an important meeting & making jokes about having peed my pants. I love serving the world by always bringing optimism to the table & offering creative solutions to the problems faced by the people around me.
The things I am most passionate about are being a momma bird to my friends & family, making people smile until their cheeks hurt, & lifting everyone up when they’re down. I work with people who struggle with bringing their vision to life. I’m lucky enough to give them the gift of a stress free experience & memories they will cherish for a lifetime.
When I’m not working on 13874 other things, you can catch me:
• Drinking wine or binging on a new Netflix series.
• Trying to get dog slobber off my favourite pants.
• Celebrating taco tuesday/wednesday/everyday.
• Having a “who can make the ugliest face” competition with myself in the mirror.
Still here? Lets connect! I can’t wait to hear your story.

Hot Wayward Night
When we were approached & asked to plan a cocktail party that was benefitting an LGBT+ bursary, there was absolutely no way we could say no. There was a venue, & a budget, but the rest was all up to the Smithco team.
Set in the end of August, we decided to send summer of with a hot, sexy, Miami Vice-esque party. Charcuterie that still has us drooling, golden pineapples, performers with voices (and faces) of angels, hanging tropical installations, this was the place to be in the Comox Valley on August 25th.
Not only did everyone (including us) have a killer time jamming out & drinking jell-o shots served by a handsome man with a fanny pack, we raised a ton of money that was used to help send a kid to college. Now that is a feeling that just can’t be beat. Thanks to Wayward Distillation House for hosting us, to our lovely performers Josh Stokes & Chris Girard, & to our crazy out-of-this-world talented photographer Alessandra Vitozzi. Without you all we are nothing. Cheers!
We were lucky enough to be a part of Nicole’s 50th, and it couldn’t have been more fun. When her boyfriend approached us he told us three things; he loves his girlfriend Nicole, she is the party queen, and he has no idea how to throw a kick a** party. We had him steal her photo albums from the past five centuries so that we could work our magic. After flipping through these photos, scanning them, having duplicates made & going through them again, Nicole felt like an old friend.
At her party, guests wandered the room looking at hilarious photos from the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s, reliving the different phases of Nicole’s journey. They took turns snapping polaroids and putting them in her guest book. After a few cocktails & yummy snacks, the whole crew danced the night away & sang Karaoke with all of their closest buds. It was such an honour to be a part of this party, here’s to another 50 years of funky glasses & giant smiles, Nicole.
Aliyah’s Little Girl
I was so ecstatic when Aliyah’s mom approached me and asked for help planning her daughter’s baby shower. I love that they wanted me to be a part of the start of the little beans journey in this world, so I poured my heart into making this the best little shower Aliyah or her friends had attended.
They wanted games, desserts, favours & prizes - I don’t know which part was most fun to work on!! Seriously I had too much fun spending hours crafting, shopping, & scrolling on pinterest while putting this together.
Everyone just kept talking about how beautiful the shower was, which made it all worth it. Let’s just say, it’s going to be even more of a challenge to one-up myself when the little girl turns one!
Thank you so much Aliyah & Lorri for trusting me and allowing me to be a part of this insanely special moment in your life.
We are equipped to help with anything you need throughout the daunting planning process for your wedding, and are more than happy to provide start-to-finish full planning services or partial planning services.
But our absolute favourite is the day-of-coordination package. It’s perfect for the couple who are so excited to plan out the details of their wedding but might have a few questions along the day & know they will need some help on the big day. It’s ideal because you get to can relax & celebrate with your family rather than working on setting up tables or chairs between hair & makeup and having your photos taken!
In this situation, we meet with the bride & groom upon booking to do a complimentary consultation. This is the perfect opportunity to make sure that everyone is on the same page and we’re a good fit for you. At your consultation we will go over everything you’ve planned so far and you are free to ask any and all questions you may have about day-of logistics or vendor recommendations you might need. Then, for the remainder of the time leading up to your wedding, we are here as a resource to you to answer questions you have or help however we can. (basically feel free to send an email randomly asking if you should have already sent out invitations or ordered your florals!)
When it comes to the big day, your day-of coordinator & their assistant will be on site with an itinerary & floorplan, setting up decor & directing vendors, pretty much doing anything that needs to be done & resolving any last minute crisis that might arise. We will be in the background during the rest of the day taking care of all the details so that all you have to do is show up, say “I do” & have the best day of your life!
Sound perfect!? Shoot us an email to book your complimentary consultation! Pricing is based on the size & labour involved in the wedding.
Feel free to ask us about payment plans, we completely understand that weddings are expensive & sometimes it’s easier to pay off over time.
Sean & Tammy

“But I think we should talk about something, it might be hard, but it needs to be said. What if it…. rains?!?” That was what I said to Tammy & Sean during my consultation with them months before their wedding at Tigh-Na-Mara in Parksville.
”Don’t say the ‘R’ word!!!” Tammy shouted.
When it came to their big day, you guessed it, it rained. But rather than whining or pouting Sean and Tammy along with they friends and family had the best time possible. We were under the gun coming up with a plan b on the spot, but it was so much fun and turned out to be such a magical and beautiful day.
Thank you Sean and Tammy for putting your faith in us and having the best time possible saying “I do” in the torrential downpour.
Grant & Lin’s Bangkok Wedding
When I started working on weddings, a goal of mine was to eventually do destination weddings. I mean really, who doesn’t dream about getting paid to travel the world doing what you love?! So, you can imagine my excitement when I was offered the opportunity to fly half way around the world to coordinate a wedding in Bangkok, Thailand!!
5 years ago, when Lin moved to Canada, her & Grant said “I do” during the cutest little backyard ceremony. But it was basically impossible for Lin’s family (she has like 10 brothers & sisters) to travel all the way across the world to be there. So at the time Grant promised that one day he would give her a wedding back home that they would all be able to take part in & remember forever. Last year, Grant stayed true to his promise & asked Lin if she would marry him (again), this time in Thailand.
One thing that stood out to me when the wedding started (and actually as soon as I stepped off the plane) was the sense of love and warmth that radiates from the Thai people. I should’ve known what to expect, seeing as Lin is probably one of the sweetest people - if not the sweetest person - you will ever meet. But it was incredible to witness that much love, nobody constantly glued to their phones, and everybody genuinely enjoying themselves. Being a part of this incredible ceremony, full of lots of interesting traditions & beautiful moments, was nothing short of incredible. Thank you Grant & Lin for giving me the pleasure, it was so awesome to be a part of the blending of two cultures.

“We would not hesitate to recommend Levi for help in planning (and executing!) your next event. From the moment we met him, Levi had a calming, professional demeanour and really listened and tried to envision what we had in mind. I loved that he was able to suggest options we hadn’t thought of and he actually saved us quite a bit of money and stress. Thank you so much Levi for your time, care and attention to detail!”
